Meet Thomas Casey
The Early Days
I grew up on Long Island, New York, and earned my bachelor's degree in Communications from SUNY Albany in 2013. That same year, I moved across the country to Santa Rosa, California, with two long-time friends and bandmates to pursue a career in music.
Like many young musicians, I juggled multiple jobs—working at Chipotle and taking on side gigs—while navigating a new city and chasing a dream.
Early Career
While music remains a core part of my life, I quickly realized the importance of building a more stable and fulfilling career. After a number of interviews with financial institutions, I found my path with New York Life.
At just 22 years old, with no existing client base and no industry experience, I began the work of building my practice from the ground up.
Where We Are Now
I credit my ability to stay and thrive in Sonoma County to this profession—and I credit Sonoma County with helping shape the kind of advisor I’ve become.
Over the past decade, I’ve come to appreciate just how much impact a well-built financial strategy can have.
Community Involvement
A Financial Advisor Who Leads With Care
When I’m not working with clients, I continue to play drums in local bands, both live and in studio sessions. I’m also an active member of the Active 20-30 Rohnert Park & Cotati #656, a nonprofit that raises funds and resources for underserved youth in Sonoma County.
